Encouraging. Challenging. Transforming.

Negative Nancy

Alright, so I just checked the CF Laredo site and they have a cool countdown timer.  It said something like 5 days and 12 hours until the competition.  It got me pretty excited.  I also got a call from my good friend David in College Station.  He was telling me about how excited he was to be competing.  So we’ll be talking about what is going on, but we’re hoping to get T-shirts getting made by tomorrow.  We’re also looking into getting a tub or trashcan to put in the back of my Dad’s truck to take ice baths between WOD’s.  I’m sure everyone is excited, and I hope that excitement will turn into adrenaline Saturday morning.  Dial in the nutrition.  Eat meats, veggies, some fruit, nuts and seeds, little starch and don’t eat sugar.  Dial it in.

WOD: Nancy

5 rounds:

  • 15 OH squats (95 lbs)
  • Run 400m

Rest Day Sunday

Rest day Sunday.  We’re coming down to the last week before the competition.  It is going to be important for everyone to start dialing their nutrition in.  This next week is going to look like this.  Monday and Tuesday we’re going to have some good WOD’s, but theyre going to start to taper off.  Then Wednesday we’re doing a little 1 mile time trial.  On Thursday and Friday we’re going to have rest days.  I’m also working on getting some t shirts together for the competition.  When I find the price I’ll let everyone know.

New Name, New Page, Same Pain, Same Love

Just wanted to say good job to everyone today. Jake that was awesome that you pushed through even though you have torn hands. So what will be going on for Saturday? Well first we will be meeting at 4:30. Now for the WOD.

WOD is courtesy of The Hell’s Half Acre Regional Qualifier.  This was the last event of the competition.  I hit 5:41, so we’re all aiming to break 6 minutes.
