<p>It was another busy weekend for G7 Athletics!&nbsp; Coach Javi Guzman and Coach Veronica Garza successfully competed Saturday in Austin at the <a href="http://olyathlete.com/article/weightliftin-and-wod-olyathlete-open-update-registration-closed" target="_blank">OlyAthlete Open</a>, held at CrossFit Austin.&nbsp; The event was a hybrid competition consisting of an Olympic Weightlifting component as well as a CrossFit workout.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Competitors tested their weightlifting skills on the Snatch and Clean &amp; Jerk against USAW rules and judging, including an official weigh-in and technical rules.&nbsp; The CrossFit component of the competition consisted of an AMRAP workout of 5 Thrusters (135lb men/95lb women), 10 Burpees, and 20 Double Unders.</p>
<p><em><strong>Veronica Garza</strong> received the title of OlyAthlete Weightlifting Champion</em> for her 115kg total in the weightlifting portion of the competition.&nbsp;<em> <strong>Javier and Veronica</strong> also took home the title of OlyAthlete Team Champions</em>, with the help of teammates and friends Vic Zachary (<a href="http://www.bayoucitycrossfit.com/" target="_top">Bayou City CrossFit</a>), Katie Russell (Bayou Cit CrossFit), and Blake Johnson (CrossFit Austin).&nbsp;</p>
<p>Congratulations to <a href="http://viczachary.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Vic Zachary</a> (OlyAthlete CrossFit Champion), <a href="http://katie4russell.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Katie Russell</a> (OlyAthlete CrossFit Champion and Overall Champion), <a href="http://www.dutchlowy.com/blog/" target="_blank">Dutch Lowy</a> (OlyAthlete Overall Champion), and <a href="http://crossfitdeep.com/" target="_blank">Spencer Arnold</a> (OlyAthlete Weightlifting Champion) for their incredible performances and to all those who participated in Saturday&#39;s event.&nbsp;</p>
